A custom brought to Hawai'i by Japanese immigrants in the plantation era; Kadomatsu has developed into a beloved tradition to celebrate the new year. Kadomatsu (translated as "Gate Pine") is placed in the entry way of homes and businesses to welcome ancestral spirits and inspire good fortune.
Each Kadomatsu is 27" tall. Pick-up availability is from 8-11am at either the Kapiolani CC Farmers Market (Saturdays) or the Mililani HS Farmers Market (Sundays)
